"Quiet on the set! . . . and, ACTION!" - Australian Actors (1900)
This beautiful original photo comes courtesy of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences in New South Wales, Australia. The original black and white photo is a glass plate negative and shows a: “stage set of two men and a boy playing cards in an alcove . . . photographer possibly Arthur Phillips, Australia, c. 1895-1905.”
It has been beautifully colorized with rich, true to life colors by Okkama Colorizations at The Psychogenealogist.
Fans of The Psychogenealogist Facebook Page voted equally for both photos in Colorization Poll #13. It was our first tie!
What are some of your favorite details about this photograph? I liked the 4 of clubs tucked under the man’s leg. I wonder what kind of beverages were in those bottles, can you tell?
