The Dresden Rose (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) - Family Artifact Challenge (Day 19)
The Dresden Rose Stitchery Collection (later named “Sewing Centre”) was owned and operated by mother-in-law who, you recall, comes from a line of talented needleworkers (see here). Her store was in business from about 1988-2004 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
In the August, 1989 issue of “Windsor This Month” magazine the following advertisement appeared. It featured a pensive young girl who one day I would have the good fortune to marry.
Here are some articles from The Windsor Star detailing the history of The Dresden Rose.
Thanks for taking a look at the Family History Artifact of the Day Challenge! Every day in May I will be posting a family artifact or heirloom. I hope you’ll join!
