My First Family Tree, 1986 - Family Artifact Challenge (Day 16)

Perhaps this is when it all started — November, 1986 in Mrs. Hanby’s 5th grade class at Fairfield West Elementary. A lesson on genealogy led to this family tree, my first, that I have held on to ever since. With a ballpoint pen, ruler, poster board, white out, and significant help from my mother, my foray into family tree making began.

It is a tiny miracle that it has survived three decades of folding, unfolding, refolding, rolling, unrolling, rolling again, storing, un-storing, losing, finding, moving, and losing again.

Thanks for taking a look at the Family History Artifact of the Day Challenge! Every day in May I will be posting a family artifact or heirloom. I hope you’ll join!
