Henriette M. Gundlach (1906-1973) is my 2nd cousin 3x removed. Her great grandparents, Carl F. Zenner and Dorattsea Dammerid (from Germany), are my 4th great grandparents. Henriette’s parents were Herman E. Gundlach (1877-1945) and Elvira Zenner (1879-1955).
Here is a photo from the 1923 “Amygdaloid”, the class yearbook of Houghton High School (Houghton, Michigan) from where Henriette graduated.
As indicated, she was involved in school government as well as an associate editor of the Amygdaloid and a “Class Prophet”. Here she is (back row, center) with some of the other Amygdaloid staff members.
I’ve only begun to research Henriette’s life. As far as I can tell she did not marry or have children. She died in 1973 and is buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton where many other of my relatives are laid to rest.
